The COVID-19 pandemic is making headlines everywhere, from the front pages of newspapers to news network headlines to our regular conversations at home. Constant exposure to such developments might overwhelm us. Children, in particular, may become increasingly nervous and confused if their routines are disturbed as a result of the present state of lockdown.
Through courageous acts of kindness and support in their homes and communities, India’s young people are paving the way to fight against COVID-19. SFC organized COVID-19 safety awareness programs for children on January 4, 2022, at Shaheed Smirti Par, Tilak Vihar, New Delhi
has taken up the challenge of providing the best possible assistance during the harsh winters. Recently, on the occasion of New Year, we conducted a joint donation drive for the families of daily wage workers who work tirelessly every day in the brick kiln industry to provide them with a gift of warmth in the chilling winters.
We organized a drive on the 29th of December 2021 in the Badli Industrial area.
At Scope For Change, we also celebrated Christmas by organising an event for our children on the 20th of December 2021. We hosted this event at our learning centre in the Tilak Vihar area of New Delhi. This program took place at 4 PM, and 60 students from underprivileged families attended the event. In keeping with the spirit of giving during the festive season, we distributed blankets to each student present at the event. It brought smiles to their faces as they received their blankets, as it was the need of the hour.
We launched a new initiative under the Education cause, namely Hamein Padhao Hamein Badhao. We are committed to working for less privileged children through our community development initiative. As part of this project, we have opened our 1st learning center located in the Tilak Vihar area of New Delhi. We are grateful for the overwhelming support from Mr. Jan Drbohlav and Mr. Zdenek Vich.
Scope For Change brings innovative and creative ideas to create environmental awareness. This time it was Shoe Plantation Drive!
In collaboration with CVS Enactus (College of Vocational Studies), Scope For Change conducted the Shoe Plantation Drive under their project Raah. An unusual idea of making our environment clean and green. Wherein tree plantation and waste management, two essential aspects of the environment, go hand in hand.
Books help us to teach ourselves about history, the arts, science, religion, nature, mathematics, and technology –– anything and everything in our universe and beyond. Books also help us to understand the effect that all those things have on us and our world. Books entertain and offer us a great escape.
Some privileged people have excess books lying on their shelves; While millions of kids in India cannot afford the necessary books they wish to read. To reduce this inequality in access to quality education.
”Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.”
Jawaharlal Nehru
Children’s Day, celebrated on November 14, is recognized across India to increase awareness of the rights, care, and education of children. Children are the real strength of a nation and the foundation of society.
What could be the better way to dedicate this day towards their entertainment and learning.
Diwali is an illustration of how festivals strengthen strong relationships between families and friends. For Diwali, everyone returns home to spend time with their relatives.
It gets much more thrilling at night when a large number of sky-lanterns are launched into the air, soaring high into the night sky and lighting up the scene. Diwali encourages us to be patient in the pursuit of happiness.
We did the same thing as everyone else. We went to our SFC home to help others by lighting their homes. We revisited the Rain Basera at Raja Garden for this event, as we promised the kids about our return with a bang.
In our opinion, we must continue to do our share and provide the groundwork for a society free of stigma; if we all band together for this, we can create a better tomorrow for women.
We at SFC always tried to discover new methods to stay connected to elevating society. We are ecstatic to announce that we have undertaken an awareness session on 16th Oct 2021 for imparting knowledge on Mensuration hygiene under our Women Empowerment initiative. At this event, we had 2 Guest Speakers (Ishu Shiva and Dr. Kusum Lata) and Chief Guests (K.K. Chaudhary, Ashwini Sharma, and Shahwar Shohrat).
