Share The Warmth In The Bone-Chilling Winter

Winter

For most of us, the idea of winter means cuddling under the blanket with a room heater by the side. However, many are not that privileged to have woolen garments and heaters to keep themselves warm in these difficult times. Hence, it becomes a fight for their survival and can prove deadly for those vulnerable sections of society. We fail to realize the pain of those people who have to battle out the bone-chilling cold in the open with minimal resources available to them.

An Event For New Year Eve

Scope For Change has taken up the challenge of providing the best possible assistance during the harsh winters. Recently, on the occasion of New Year, we conducted a joint donation drive for the families of daily wage workers who work tirelessly every day in the brick kiln industry to provide them with a gift of warmth in the chilling winters.
We organized a drive on the 29th of December 2021 in the Badli Industrial area. This area is almost a kilometer away from the main market in Haryana.

In this drive, we distributed 50 sets of blankets and warm clothing to the families to help them combat the harsh months of winter. With this assistance, the workers can now use their income in fulfilling other basic needs of their families. Apart from winter aid, we also distributed 60 frooti packs, chips, and chocolates to their children present at the event location.
