The environment around us is an essential part of human survival. A clean environment is paramount for healthy living. The more we neglect, the more it will become polluted with contaminants and toxins that harm our health. Irrespective of it, humans have never understood the importance of tree plantation to save the environment.

The environmental problems we are facing now are uncertain. However, we don’t have to be an expert or a millionaire to save the Planet; Everyone can help to do their bit for the environment. Scope For Change brings innovative and creative ideas to create environmental awareness. This time, it’s Shoe Plantation Drive.

In collaboration with CVS Enactus (College of Vocational Studies), Scope For Change conducted the Shoe Plantation Drive under their project Raah. An unusual idea of making our environment clean and green. Wherein tree plantation and waste management, two essential aspects of the environment, go hand in hand.

Detail of the activity:

In this, children planted plants in shoes that were not fit for further use. Initially, white cement to use to strengthen the base. After this, children painted them with a vibrant and creative look. Now, these shoes were ready to plant life in them. In the end, without degrading the environment, we creatively used the scrapped shoes.

Just like every drive, Covid Protocol was important for us. Therefore, we distributed masks and sanitized the hands of participants and volunteers. Also, as part of fun activities, 50 balls were distributed among children. As a thankful gesture, participants gifted one plant to our Founder Mr. Perminder Singh Malik.
