A Festival that brightens both the Earth and the Sky, bringing delight to everyone who attends. A celebration in which the entire country of India transforms into a realm of countless lanterns.
Diwali!
Diwali is an illustration of how festivals strengthen strong relationships between families and friends. For Diwali, everyone returns home to spend time with their relatives.
It gets much more thrilling at night when a large number of sky-lanterns are launched into the air, soaring high into the night sky and lighting up the scene. Diwali encourages us to be patient in the pursuit of happiness.
We did the same thing as everyone else with an extra step of serving lighting others’ houses. For this, we revisited the Rain Basera at Raja Garden for this event, as we promised the kids about our return with a bang.

Walkthrough of our Diwali drive:
When the SFC team arrived, the children began yelling with delight, dancing, hugging our team members & thanking them for visiting again. Not only this, our comeback is to make them feel special by celebrating the Diwali event with them.
We all gathered them in an open space; keeping in mind Covid restrictions and cleanliness, we provided masks (100) and a dry ration pack to the Caretaker so that they could consume special day meals, particularly for Diwali, which included:
- Atta: 10kg
- Rice: 5 Kgs
- Sugar: 4 packets
- Different types of Pulses: 15 packets
- Refined Oil- 2 Ltr for Diwali food
As our next step, we arranged some enjoyable games. We divided the team in the following manner:
Not only this, we had activities for every age group. For the ladies, we provided them with ivory sheets and other decorative goodies. The task was to prepare decorative material for decorating the place. Our team members backed up on this, regardless of whether they knew how to do it or not. The male members participated by decorating their home, which appears to be a unique manner of doing things.
Near the end of the Diwali event
We played the music covering the Diwali songs. Not only this, everyone participated in the balloon dance task & their delight lasted up to an hour.
In the end, the team distributed 60 packets of meals to the children. Each packet included:
- Chips
- Cup Cakes
- Munch Chocolate
- Fruity
- Biscuits
- A Ball or a small toy
Everyone deserves a reward for the efforts they put in it for this we gave unique presents to the activity winners. Afterward, everyone received their Diwali gifts and sweets.
The most mesmerizing part of this event was when we gifted children the gift of their demand, which they made at our last event.
With this, Scope For Change aims to create unforgettable memories by serving smiles in every possible way.
