You will quickly get into a rut if you keep doing it the same way you always have. You have to go forward and do new stuff to nourish your imagination. We at Scope of change do not stand still! We actively search for innovative ideas and better ways to advance our steps which led us to support an event organized by WAOW.

On the 4th of April 2021, the World Association of Women Warriors (WAOW) arranged an event, ‘She The Warrior’, on women’s wellbeing and security in collaboration with the Dr. Zakir Husain Foundation in Jamia Urdu College Of Education.

The drive aimed to raise consciousness about women’s menstrual health and welfare. Also, reproductive dignity and the detrimental effects of menstrual health were part of this drive.

Scope of Change is a non-profit organization that focuses on education, the environment, medical care, water & social wellbeing. The reasons for supporting this drive were:

  • Safety of women.
  • Raising voice against abuse.
  • Self-defense awareness.

Concerning this Scope of Change contributed by distributing 250 biodegradable Sanitary pads packets (In which one pack consists of 6 pads).

The reason for choosing biodegradable sanitary pads-

  • Recommended by Gynecologists
  • Maintain basic hygiene.
  • Cleanliness or not harmful for reproductive parts.
  • Plastic-free product.
  • Chemical-free.
  • No Release of Dioxin.

We at Scope of change actively search for innovative ideas to create an impact on the community we live in and we hope is you join us in this journey.   

Some Highlights of the event:

  • Supporting the campaign, Mr. Rakesh K. Malpani, IAS, ADM City Aligarh, was invited as Chief Guest, who graced the occasion with his presence. 
  • Ms. Suman, DSP-CO Barla, and Dr. Farhat Ali Khan, OSD Jamia Urdu, were the guests of honour & more than 100 females dedicated their valuable time. 
  • Asrar Ahmad (Aligarh Taekwondo Academy) conducted a Taekwondo session to practice women’s basic self-defense.
  • WAOW director Shahwar Shohrat emphasized women’s health and safety. 
  • WAOW Director, Mrs. Mamta Godiyal, also stressed that women need to first take care of themselves and then support others. 
  • Sajida Nadeem, director of the Hussain Foundation, Aligarh, said that her organization has been privileged to partner with a global organization to increase the much-needed awareness in Aligarh & to continue empowering women locally.
