The COVID-19 pandemic is making headlines everywhere, from the front pages of newspapers to news network headlines to our regular conversations at home. Constant exposure to such developments might overwhelm us. Children, in particular, may become increasingly nervous and confused if their routines are disturbed as a result of the present state of lockdown.
Through courageous acts of kindness and support in their homes and communities, India’s young people are paving the way to fight against COVID-19. SFC organized COVID-19 safety awareness programs for children on January 4, 2022, at Shaheed Smriti Par, Tilak Vihar, New Delhi.
OUR OBJECTIVE-
To let them know the importance of the following topics:
- Washing their Hands
- Wearing a mask
- Social Distancing
We had around 40 students involved in the drive & we created a fun exercise to illustrate these. Before starting the session, we took care of the masks and sanitizers for children along with other Covid Protocols.
To begin the concentration game, we asked ten children to bring wooden sticks & place them in the center. Following that, the next five kids used the sticks to form a circle, and we instructed all of the students to stand in a single row with social distance.
Afterward, we explained the game rules for brainstorming and segregated the students into three groups to practice social distance while playing. Please have a look at the video for details:
Finally, we distributed 20 masks, 40 soap bars, and 40 squash glasses; And we urged them to take the power of handwashing, mask, & social distancing!

Giving to others is a powerful show of faith. We gain a greater understanding of the importance of community and our obligation to “love one another as ourselves” when we contribute to others. It’s one of the most beneficial things you can do for yourself and others.
