Children’s Day, celebrated on November 14, to increase awareness of the rights, care, and education of children. Children are the real strength of a nation and the foundation of society.
What could be the better way to dedicate this day towards their entertainment and learning. Hence, Scope For Change, in association with Kartab Theatre by Nidhi Kundra and Little Master Publishers organized an event of children’s day celebration for the underprivileged kids of the Tilak Vihar area on 14th November 2021.

Activities Conducted
Theatre games: This activity consisted of performing real-life role-plays and activities, for example, customer and shopkeeper.
Expression Games: These games consisted of Mimicry activities. Orients like a bullet motorcycle, van, or train, were made. Each team has to produce the sound of the object they have formed. The other activity also involved the children producing a sound that is similar to some animals like, Cow and Tiger.
Colouring Competition: The children were provided with coloring books and color boxes. They actively took part in this coloring activity. It was great having fun with them. The winner was announced, at the end of the event.
Poem Recitation: Under this activity, SFC organized a poem recitation competition So that they can boost their confidence and improve communication.

Refreshments and Gift distribution
Towards the end of the session, winners were announced and they were given prizes by Nidhi Vohra-Director Little Master. Also, the rest of the 40 kids were provided with coloring books and coloring boxes as return gifts.
The Scope For Change team provided the attendees with masks and also executed refreshments.
The smile and giggles made the day a wonderful and cheery time. We are so grateful to be a part of this celebration. The smiles and laughter that we got to witness on these children’s faces touched our hearts.
“We enjoyed the day!!” were the words that echoed our ears.
